Kooboo Commerce Installation Guide

  • System requirement
IIS 6.0 or up
.NET framework 4.0
ASP.NET MVC 3.0
Database: SQL Server 2005 or up
  • Install Database

In the Resources\Install\Database folder, you can find the SQL installation scripts as well as a database backup file.

You can create a new database and use *.sql script to create the database schema.

OR

You can create a new database and restore it from the Kooboocommerce.CTP.bak file. That is a database backup file.
  • Modify web.config
Open the web.config and change the connection string setting at:

  • Set up IIS website or open it with Visual Studio.NET 2010.

If you download the compiled version, you need to setup an IIS website for it. If you download the source code version, open it with Visual Studio.NET 2010, correct the DLL reference if there is any missing. All dlls files can be found at: Resources/References/Kooboo
  • File security.
Make sure that IIS user has read/write access to the following folders
I18N
Images

Browse and use the application.

Visit http://{website} for the Ecommerce frontend site.
Visit Visit http://{website}/admin for the back end. Default user/pass: admin/admin
